"What A Trip" is the result of overcoming adversity. Following the recording and release of their "Waking Up" 7", World View was faced again with obstacles and line up changes, with many expecting it to be the final nail for the band. Rather than giving in, the band reshuffled and refocused, and put together the pieces for what has ended up becoming the band's most engaging and powerful release to date. "What A Trip" was recorded at Ghostnote Studios in Adelaide by by Jimmy Balderston and Colby Robertson, and once again mixed and mastered at Studio 4 by Will Yip.
